Pass the bacon? No, pass on the bacon!

A new study, by Levine et al. (2014), shows that high-protein meat-based diets are especially bad for those aged 50-65 since they're associated with greater cancer risk. Old people can evidently go back to eating more protein. The findings show that many popular meat-based high-protein diet fads might be particularly bad for the post-50 crowd.
